God has been very gracious in my life. As an in-coming freshman during the fall of 2000, and because of a good friend, I made my way into the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Newman Center. Who knew the day I walked in would begin my encounter with true Love?
The community at St. Robert Bellarmine became and continues to be my family. Through social activities, such as our 24-Hour famine to help the poor in Tanzania, our St. Nick‟s dance, and our spiritual retreats, I formed many great friendships. My friends challenged me to be better by pushing me to excel to who Christ knew that I could be.
Through Mass, Adoration, and Rosary, I formed the greatest friendship possible. It was during my time in the chapel that I realized how much Christ loved me, and how much I loved Him.
It has been seven years since I first stepped into the St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Center, yet now as an official member of the "real world,‟ I am reminded everyday of the place where I first encountered Love.
It is this Love that allows me to live my life for Christ in hopes that others may know how much He loves them. Once we know this Love, we will see what He can do with each of our lives, if we let Him.
