In summer of 2012, 33 students from the St. JPII Newman Center traveled to Miami, FL on Mission.
While there, we hosted a summer camp "In the School of Mary and the Saints" for inner city children in Miami.
That mission began a tradition of Serving in Miami with the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Hear about Colin's experience...
I have never felt the Holy Spirit work through me with such intensity and such frequency. The amount of service that you give to others, and that others give to you, just isn't found in your day-to-day life. It is amazing how wonderfully exhausting it is to try and care for the kids at summer camp, and it is so fulfilling to come back at the end of the day and spend time with Christ and be rejuvenated. I walked away from the Miami Mission with a new love, passion, and curiosity for Mary and for St. John Paul II, and I'm blessed to have spent time with so many young and aspiring St. Mary's and St. Josephs from the Newman Center.
Listen to God. If he calls you, go on the mission trip, support the mission trip, or encourage another to join in. Go to love and to be loved, and learn what it means to be fully human.
