Student Testimonies

Alumni "The Lord found me in a moment of profound brokenness, sin, and loneliness, and remade me. His blessings and graces are endless. He loves each of us to a degree beyond human comprehension. When we let Him love us, we find true freedom and true happiness in the only place it can be found; in Him." Katie (Witty) Maggiore
Alumni "Blessed John Paul II said 'No one is without family in this world. The church is home, and a family for everyone.' I have found more and more truth in this quote by our patron saint with each passing year that I spend at Newman. We truly have a family here that is held together by so much love for each other and for Christ, and is very beautifully led by God our Father and Mary our Mother. Everyone here is loved fully for who they are - which isn't easy to find anywhere else! This family has helped me through the toughest times and rejoiced with me through the happiest times. If you are not involved in the center very much, please please please consider coming to our regular events or even just stopping by to hang-out!" |

Alumni "I used to feel like I was a decent enough guy. I was insecure in everything though, often despairing over my faults. I made great friends in high school; through them it was easy for faith to be a given part of my day to day life. I learned the foundations and fundamentals of the Catholic faith as well, through theology class at CCHS here in town. I was blessed with frequent opportunities for Mass and confession, and I used them often. Through it all I was surrounded by beauty and truth; yet little did I understand that I was meant to be filled with them too - and in the greatest way imaginable. What else can really be said? My life has completely changed." David Reisinger
Alumni "Throughout my life I have lived in many places throughout the country, but one thing that has kept consistent was the Church. When I first got to school I did not want to get involved at Newman, and came only on Sundays. But after receiving a particularly powerful reconciliation from Father Victor, my perception changed. I began to dive deeper into the faith. Won't you join me on this journey of eternity?" |
