Koinonia Retreat

Every Semester we have a Koinonia Retreat! Koinonia is a Greek word that means fellowship. This is a student led retreat that gives students a chance to learn more about their faith and grow in community at Newman.

The retreat happens off-campus and is a chance to dive into your faith, hear other students share about their faith, small groups and other fun things! The retreats starts Friday afternoon and continues through Sunday!

The retreat costs $50 but if the cost is a problem, please reach out to Paden; scholarships are available. Don't let the cost be the reason you don't go!

If you have any questions, reach out to Paden at [email protected]

Register for Newman Koinonia 71!

All current Illinois State, Illinois Wesleyan, and Heartland students (ages 18+) are welcome to register to be a retreatant!

Any current students that have been on a Koinonia Retreat can apply to be on team!

Interested in being on Team for the next Koinonia?

Once you've been on a Koinonia Retreat you are able to serve on Team. Behind every retreat there is a team of students that make it possible! These students commit to Sunday Afternoon meetings in the weeks leading up to the retreat and helping during the retreat weekend.

You are eligible for team once you've been on a Koinonia, even if the retreat you attended was several semesters ago you are still able to apply!

Completed applications can be dropped off or emailed to Paden at [email protected]
